Welcome to the first Quantum Blog of 2020. What a year 2019 was and we have so much more planned for 2020.

2019 saw the start of Quantum Professional Support (QPS) which started with a bang and has kept on getting busier every month.  QPS is designed to help advisers and practices complete research and paperwork required to make the file ready for SOA stage as well as adhoc requirements such as data collection.  In the climate of increased compliance, increasing costs, further education requirements we have found advisers looking for efficiencies across their businesses and many have found the benefit of QPS.  Our Paraplanning service is also growing, both in terms of staff as well as licensees and practices we work with.

With our growing work requirements, we are delighted to announce that we have had two new staff members join us in January.  Brady has joined Support where he will be our new receptionist and be the initial point of contact when phoning through to the office.  This is due to the internal promotion of Keely, who has furthered her education by recently adding a Diploma of Financial Services to her Commerce Degree.  Keely will now be working on Pre-SOA files full time and is excited to start assisting more advisors with their strategies and paperwork.  We also have a new paraplanner, Gavin, who joins our very experienced Paraplanning team. Gavin is excited to pass on his previous knowledge within the industry to our team and expand his knowledge of licensees.

Last week Nathan, Chris and Jess spent 3 days travelling from the Gold Coast to Adelaide and then to Melbourne to speak with advisors we work with.  We really enjoy these trips as it gives us the opportunity to meet advisers and put a face to names.  We discuss all things Financial Planning and any of their pain points to see if we can assist them.  Our trip was a bit of a flying visit to Adelaide as we saw three practices in four hours then back onto a plane to Melbourne Wednesday afternoon for four meetings on Thursday and more meetings Friday, flying back on Saturday morning.  We thoroughly enjoyed this trip and hope to have another trip to somewhere else planned for later in the year.  Watch this space!

During 2019 we spent a lot of time behind the scenes working on how we can integrate advisers into our processes so we can give more accurate turn around times or give updates to advisers without them having to ring up and ask.  We are delighted to say these efficiencies will be rolled out in 2020.

From all at Quantum, have a great 2020 and we are looking forward to assisting you throughout the year.
